The famous folklore of UFO and conspiracy theory can be heard in the portion of Lincoln County in southern Nevada in the western United States. Authorities have said that the base's primary purpose is to support the development, testing, and training phases for new aircraft weapons systems or research projects. However, thousands of people do not believe what the Government proclaims.
Its extreme secrecy and undoubted connection to classified aircraft research has led to many circulating stories around Area 51. With reports of unusual phenomena such as alien spacecraft storage where crashed UFOs are said to be experimented to manufacture new war aircraft based on alien technology. Furthermore, some of the activities mentioned in such theories are the development of exotic energy weapons that are many times deadlier than the weapons today. Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), which is a ground and spacebased system proposed by the U.S. President Ronald Reagan to protect the United States from attack by nuclear ballistic missiles. Many people also think that the most secret activities were transferred to another place, and the area was just a misdirection attempt.
For many years, the government attempts to cover-up the information of places and various reports on UFO or alien related sources and denied that Area 51 existed, the reason why it became the major subject of conspiracy theories and UFO stories.
Several people have claimed knowledge of events supporting Area 51 conspiracy theory where it has gained great notoriety in 1979. Among the considerable people who disclosed the secret activities was Bob Lazar. He claimed in 1989 that he had worked at "Sector Four (S-4)", which was said to be located underground inside the Papoose Range near Groom Lake. Lazar has stated he was contracted to work with alien spacecraft that the U.S. government had in its possession.
After Lazars confessions, many other self-proclaimed former workers in Area 51 including Dan Burisch (real name, Dan Crain) who claimed to have worked in cloning alien viruses, also with the alien "J-Rod", described as a telepathic translator. In July 1996, a man named "Victor" made known that he had videotaped an alien interrogation in the same area. The video appears to show the head of an alien creature in a dark interrogation room, allegedly using telepathy to communicate with military personnel and scientists. The footage was eventually included in a video documentary entitled Area 51: The Alien Interview.
